Suburban Athletics, Inc. League Determination Dates for 2010 are as follows:

T-Ball: Boys / Girls either entering Kindergarten for the 2010/2011 school year or ages 5 - 6 by April 30, 2010.

Coach Pitch: Boys / Girls ages 7 - 8 by April 30, 2010.

GAME DAYS
T-Ball / Coach Pitch teams play an average of 2 games per week (Monday - Thursday) at Spring Road School and/or Clayton Park. The game days vary from week to week. Every attempt will be made to have siblings play back to back. T-Ball games are played at 6:00 pm and Coach Pitch games are played at 7:00 pm.

Commonly Asked Questions About the T-Ball / Coach Pitch Program

1. What is the difference between Tee Ball and Coach Pitch?
Tee Ball involves boys and girls ages 5 and 6 years old (with birth dates as of April 30, 2010). Boys and girls ages 7 and 8 years old (with birth dates as of April 30, 2010) play Coach Pitch. Tee Ball players hit from a tee, while Coach Pitch player his balls pitched by a machine or their coaches.

2. Where are the games played?
Most games are played on the two diamonds at Spring Road School located near Hwy 41 and Cty Rd II. The "East" diamond is closest to Hwy 41. The "West" diamond is closest to the playground area. Some games will be played on "New Field" at Clayton Park, located in the Town of Clayton, 1 1/4 miles west of Hwy 76 on Larsen Road.

3. What times are the games played?
Tee Ball games begin at 6:00 pm Coach Pitch games folow at 7:00 pm

4. What days are the games played?
Each team (depending on the rotation) will typically play two games per week. It could be any two nights between Monday and Thursday.

5. When are teams chosen?
Teams are organized by late April. Coaches will be given team rosters, and will be asked to contact the player/parents, and begin scheduling practices.

6. Will siblings/friends play on the same team or the same night?
Siblings playing in the same league will be placed on the same team. For those families with children in both Tee Ball and Coach Pitch, ever effort will be made to schedule the siblings to play on the same night. An attempt will also be made to accommodate special requests noted on the registration forms.

7. Do the players receive uniforms?
All Tee Ball and Coach Pitch players will receive a T-Shirt and baseball cap to keep. The T-Shirt will have the name of the team sponsor on the front and a number on the back. The league does not order/provide shirts with the children's names on the back.

8. Do you keep Scores and Standings?
The Tee Ball league does not keep score or standings. The league was established to introduce younger children to the fundamentals of baseball. The main objectives are for the children to have fun and improve their baseball skills by the end of the season.
